Working principle

The Corn Gravity Separator employs density stratification across a vibrating, grooved deck while a controlled upward airflow interacts with the seed bed. Heavy, whole kernels migrate toward the clean outlet, and lighter material-broken kernels, pericarp fragments, immature kernels and dust- are drawn off. Adjustments to deck slope, vibration stroke, and airflow allow the separator to be tuned for different maize hybrids and moisture conditions.

Airflow is adjusted to account for humidity and the proportion of light material; in damp seasons, lower airflow with slightly higher stroke often yields better separation.
